Leadership
Rod Kuntz, Co-Founder
Rod started his political career when he volunteered to help his neighborhood organize to solve a decades old parking problem. When the president of the Planning Board noticed his passion and ability to get things done, he encouraged him to apply for an open seat on the City Council. With no previous political experience, he submitted a letter of interest and was selected out of a field of 11 applicants. After the initial term ended, Rod successfully ran for another term.
During his time on city council Rod served on the Growth Policy Committee, co-chaired the Mayor’s Homeless Task Force, and successfully represented the city in Washington DC for a ten million dollar TIGER grant. Rod’s ability to call out misinformation from the public and the news media at the close of each meeting became known as “Rod’s Rants,” and is one of his proudest accomplishments. At the end of his second term he was appointed by the city council to represent them on the City-County Health Board.
As a multi-collar entrepreneur, Rod understands how government decisions affect a wide range of businesses. From construction and the military, to teaching, corporate management, and business ownership Rod understands America’s diverse demographics. His interest in politics at every level along with his local campaign experience gives him unique insights that can help anyone make a difference.
Rod and his wife Marcy (a busy midwife), live in northwest Montana. They have four children and nine grandchildren who are their inspiration for leaving the world better than they found it.
